Social campaign made by Ministry of Labour, Family and Equal opportunities in collaboration with National Authority for the Protection of Child’s Rights.

The “You can be a better parent, too” communication campaign was launched within the framework of the Phare Project “Educational Campaign on Child’s rights.

This campaign aims at raising parents’ awareness as regarding their responsibility for raising and taking care of their children.

Campaign has three main issues:

“What constitutes good parenting”

The material encourages parents to spend time with their children.

Kids need to spend more time near their parents.

“Prevention of street children”

This material makes the case to parents that verbal and physical abuse is not the right way to discipline their children while encouraging them to embrace the alternative disciplinary methods which ultimately are more effective.

Verbal and physical abuse can not solve educational issue of a child.

“Proper discipline of children”

These materials aim at preventing the further development of the street children phenomenon by getting either parents in extreme difficulty to ask for help or third parties to ask for help on their behalf.

The street children phenomenon can not be ignored if we want a future.
